What You'll Be Doing: The Director of Business Development will be responsible for winning and retaining new business in the BioPharma or Specialty Chemicals. The Director will develop compelling solution proposals for selling Rinchem services and develop relationships with target customers. The Director will formulate and execute strategies to penetrate new customers, while also expanding relationships and selling opportunities in newly acquired customers. The Director will need to develop and foster relationships at senior levels of Life Sciences companies to understand the target customer’s issues and offer the appropriate solution. The Director will need to collaborate internally across various Rinchem functions to develop and successfully sell solutions.

Scope and Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities of the Job:

Accountable for driving increased revenue with new and existing customers in the Life Sciences

Penetrate assigned target customers by selling warehousing, domestic transportation, and freight forwarding

Build long-term, strategic account plans to target and grow both new and existing Life Sciences customers

Build, close, and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities by keeping the CRM system current with accurate data

Drive value for Rinchem and customers through meetings and quarterly business reviews

Partner and collaborate with multiple business functions and leadership to create seamless execution of account plans

Qualifications:

Demonstrated sales experience in winning new customers at a high level of annual revenue

Deep experience in selling warehousing, domestic transportation, or freight forwarding

Strong background and expertise in the Life Sciences (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, etc.)

Ability to gain customer trust and respect and create strong customer relationships at the senior level

Demonstrate critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving techniques while exercising sound judgement

Ability to create win-win solutions for the organization and our customers

Proven experience in collaborating with internal customers when navigating sales contracts and customer issues

Experience and Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other related field

A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Supply Chain and Logistics with experience in a BioPharma or Specialty Chemicals industry

Communication Skills:

Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate accurately and concisely
