Job Description
Misericordia University’s College of Business is currently accepting applications for a full-time non-tenure track position in Accounting & Finance for the 2023-2024 academic year. Misericordia University has undergraduate majors/specializations in accounting and certified financial planning, as well as other business finance courses at the undergraduate level. The MBA program has an accounting specialization and a finance core course. We anticipate significant growth to further develop new finance programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as financial, intermediate and advanced accounting, taxes, auditing, business financial management, and advanced courses in accounting and finance in the MBA program.
Qualified applicants will be academically qualified with a terminal degree or ABD preferred, master’s degree considered, and have teaching experience in accounting and/or finance. Professional experience in the field and industry certifications are highly desired (CPA, CFP, CFA, CMA). Applicants interested in engaging with and mentoring and advising students in the accounting and certified financial planning programs, as well as leading further development of finance programs at the university, are especially encouraged.
