Job Title: Accounting Services Associate II

Location: Glendale, AZ

Payrate: $25 - 28.57 /hour

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Services Associate II to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth processing of accounting and billing services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to account management, financial reporting, and compliance with company procedures. This position offers an opportunity to work with a collaborative team while providing support and direction within the business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations related to accounting and billing services.
  • Verify billing, perform account reconciliations, and post transactions.
  • Prepare financial exhibits and reports, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
  • Identify and correct questionable entries of moderate complexity.
  • Process invoices, match them with purchase orders, and assign appropriate codes.
  • Analyze and audit accounts, resolving discrepancies in payments.
  • Balance subsidiary ledgers and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in reporting.
  • Act as a resource for lower-level associates, providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Ensure timely processing of financial data and adherence to accounting periods.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Required: Relevant experience or training; Associate Degree or equivalent work experience (2-4 years preferred).
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of insurance, travel, or member business practices related to financial accounting and statutory requirements.
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for professional communication, both verbal and written.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Coaching and mentoring capabilities to assist lower-level staff.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings or conferences.
