We are currently interviewing for an Experienced Automotive Business Manager to join our leadership team. Please read this entire description before applying. THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION.

WHO AND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Candidates with a vast knowledge of automotive accounting, currently or recently serving as an office manager, business manager, assistant controller or controller in a new car dealership in Southern California.
- Candidates must possess a strong understanding of each desk in the Office (Payables, Receivables, Inventory, Financials, DMV, and Contracts). Payroll and Human Resources Experience is not mandatory but would be a strong plus!
- Candidates with a "Whatever needs to be done" attitude. We are looking for someone who can lead and motivate, train every seat in the department, fill in where necessary, and recruit and retain talent.
- Candidates who love leading people, who love coaching, who create a better place wherever they go.

- Proven track record in automotive accounting and strong leadership
- Overseeing accounting team including Accounts Payable, Receivables, Contracts, DMV, and Inventory Clerk.
- Assist in the preparation of the financial statement (working with Controller)
- Manage floorplan, flooring relationships and procedures
- Monthly bank reconciliation
- Oversee all schedules are being cleared monthly
- Maintain effective cash management and tracking procedures
- Exceptional working knowledge of Dealership DMS (We use Dealertrack)
- Maintain department systems, tracking and controls
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel or Google Docs
- Supervise, train, motivate and encourage office personnel
- Ensure that all manufacturer accounts/receivables are current and accurate
- Cross Train all dealership administrative staff
- Maintain a professional appearance

Our controller retired and we have filled this position out of our centralized office in Wichita, KS. We are looking for someone who will manage the team onsite and work with our remote controller to run an office that is efficient, organized, and supports our dealership well. We want a people person to oversee our staff and systems and service as an additional layer of leadership in-between our office staff and our Controller. We are wanting to free up time for our controller to help us work on more growth and executive projects, leaving the day to day operations to our business manager. We have not historically staffed this position, this is a new idea forced by dealership volume and acquisition growth.
