That growth has led us to expand to different markets and we are in need of a Accounting and Advisory Manager to be at the center of our business needs in the Long Beach and Las Vegas office. This role is responsible for leading a team of accountants and financial analysts in delivering high-quality client accounting and advisory services. This role involves overseeing client relationships, managing financial reporting, and providing strategic advisory services to clients. You will ensure that all work complies with regulatory standards and is completed on time with a proven track record of maintaining high client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical, and client management skills to support clients in achieving their financial and operational goals.

Prior to founding the firm our Managing Director was a Tax Director with a Big 4 accounting firm with over 30 years public accounting experience. What you will do:
Client Management & Advisory
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and nurturing trusted relationships.
- Provide clients with financial insights, recommendations, and strategic guidance to support business growth and operational improvements.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to review financial results, KPIs, and discuss forecasts or budgeting needs.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and performance analysis for clients.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data provided to clients, adhering to applicable GAAP or IFRS standards.
- Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support their financial planning.
- Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Oversee workflow, workload balancing, and project prioritization to ensure timely and efficient completion of client deliverables.
- Conduct training and development initiatives to improve the team's skills in both technical accounting and advisory functions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and streamline accounting processes for clients.
- Lead technology implementation projects (e.g., accounting software or automation tools) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to establish best practices and share knowledge across the firm.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for all client accounting and reporting services.
- Maintain high ethical standards and enforce policies and procedures to protect client data and confidentiality.
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to the firm's quality control standards and best practices.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- CPA or equivalent certification required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience in Client Accounting and Advisory Services including direct management of client services or outsourced accounting services is highly desirable.
- Strong background in GAAP and knowledge of financial reporting standards; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or other CAAS platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analytics tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting solutions and automation tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in team management and development.
- Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously, prioritizing work based on client needs and firm objectives.
