What you will be doing:
As an Accounting Technician 2, you will provide crucial financial and accounting support for the division. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and approving accounts payable, reconciling transactions, preparing expenditure reports, and managing travel-related payments to ensure accurate financial management. This role is key to maintaining the division's financial accuracy and compliance with federal and state guidelines.

•Principles of Accounting: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, standards, and practices (for example: double-entry accounting, accrual accounting), including the full accounting cycle and the preparation of worksheets, financial statements, ledgers, and journals.

Minimum Qualifications
One year of entry technical level accounting or clerical bookkeeping experience.
Substitutions:
Certification as an Accounting Technician from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience.
Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month) if it includes at least 6 semester/8 quarter hours in Accounting.
