Account Specialist

The Account Specialist will keep financial records, prepare reports, and update financial information. The Account Specialist should be familiar with accounting procedures and should have experience with accounting software programs - Quickbooks. The ideal candidate will be able to process business transactions, manage billing, handle accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, receipts, account reconciliation and other financial matters. Proven accounting experience desired.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing data: Create financial data analysis, evaluate financial processing, and interpret accounting reports 
• Preparing reports: Prepare financial reports, including cash receipts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reports 
• Ensuring compliance: Ensure the company follows industry standards and laws 
• Providing advice: Provide financial advice and assist with tax preparation 
• Overseeing transactions: Oversee the company's transactions and ensure accurate transaction records 
• Developing documentation: Develop financial documentation for organizational decision-makers 
• Working with external auditors: Work with external auditors 
• Updating policies: Assist with updating policies and procedures 
• Researching: Research and conduct studies

• Able to analyze financial records and transfer information
• Data entry and word/excel processing skills
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Accurate and precise attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize
• Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals
• Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
• High school degree; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field preferred
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ability to multi-task
