Job Summary

  • In charge of financial reporting and financial controlling of the assigned business unit. Ensure accuracy of accounting information and compliance with FASB and relevant accounting standards.

Essential Job Duties

Job Duty

  • Collaborate with the members of the financial team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting for the assigned business unit
  • Manage timely month-end close process of the assigned business unit, including review of recons and journal entries,         analyzing cost allocations and intercompany charges, reconciling balance sheet movements and P&L line items
  • Perform financial consolidation of group-wide companies and by reporting segments
  • Preparation of month-end review package, checklist, and reconciliations of accounts
  • Ensure completeness of expense accruals. Review invoices and payment requests and ensure proper allocation of costs
  •  Assist in working capital management by improving receivable confirmation/collection, credit controls and payment terms  
  •  Maintain schedules of fixed assets and computer hardware and software systems. Ensure accurate measurement of asset costs and amortization. Perform periodic asset impairment analysis
  • Accounting for project and software development costs.
  • Oversee master files of vendors, customers, and contracts. Contract review and invoice review and monitoring contract compliance
  • Monitor credit memos, discounts, and purchase orders against documentation support and proper authorization. Analyze P&L impact and take corrective actions
  • Work with cost accountants to ensure effective implementation of standard costing and reporting of variances Ensure labor, raw material, and conversion costs are accurate.
  •  Inventory management controls, including year-end and cycle count instructions, inventory adjustments, consumption and wastage reporting, standard cost update, aging and obsolescence, and inventory flow system.
  • Prepare financial statements and footnotes in accordance with US GAAP requirements for external reporting
  • Ensure compliance with COSO internal control framework and effective controls over reporting and transactions
  • Compile reports for regulatory filings, and bank covenants
  • Ensure compliance with sales/use tax and related filings
  •  Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures
  • Maintain chart of accounts, general ledgers and supporting schedule
  • Manage deliverables for external audits
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed

Job Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in accounting
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • CPA is required
  • Experience in consolidation of multiple entities including foreign operations  
  • Strong experience managing efficient month-end close process and preparing financial statements of a manufacturing business

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts
  • In-depth understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages such as MS Dynamics/Navision, EPICOR, or Netsuite
  • Advanced MS Excel skills; ability to work with large amount of data
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and sensitive to deadlines
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative analysis

Must be able to perform the essential job duties.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Hybrid work arrangement with at least 3 days a week in the office.
