Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Executive Assistant/Event Coordinator for the University President. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various administrative duties, including managing telephone communications, greeting visitors, and assisting with administrative inquiries. This role also involves planning and coordinating various events. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.

Summary of Duties:

  • Perform administrative functions that require a thorough knowledge of university policies, procedures, and operations
  • Assist the President in oversight functions by reviewing, monitoring, and approving various operational items
  • Serve as liaison between the President and other administrators, Board of Trustees, various boards, employees, students, and various community contacts
  • Maintain divisional time records, keep accurate record of leave time for department
  • Reconcile and review approvals on procurement card statements
  • Provide administrative support for the Cabinet and Board of Trustees meetings
  • Coordinate the flow of incoming and outgoing communications by receiving, routing and responding as needed
  • Maintain departmental and university records for the President's office
  • Facilitate the effective planning and organization of the events supported by the President's office
  • Coordinate President's involvement in university events
  • Provide information for reports and records through research and data retrieval
  • Compose, type, and distribute routine and specialized correspondence
  • Take meeting minutes regularly for various meetings
  • Supervise the activities of student workers assigned to the department

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience preferred
  • Active member of the church of Christ
