Accounting Services Representative (Part-time) Job at Faulkner University in Mon

Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Accounting Services Representative. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for handling the accounts payable process; cash management; and maintaining other various accounting records. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

This is a part-time (24 hours per week), 12-month position.

Summary of Duties:

• Monitor aging of outstanding purchase orders
• Prepare bank deposits; monitor and reconcile accounts
• Process annuity and trust payments; sales tax payments
• Process invoices; purchase orders/check requests; credit card transactions
• Perform General Ledger journal entries
• Maintain documentation on bank wires or fund transfers
• Audit University petty cash accounts
• Assist in yearly audit preparations
• Prepare 1099 forms

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum two years related Accounts Payable experience required
• Experience in accounting software applications helpful
• Active member of the church of Christ
