We are seeking a talented and experienced Ad Operations Manager. This role provides a vital bridge between Media team (digital, social, DTC/eComm), on-site Developers, our media and tech partners, and our internal constituents. The Ad Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring flawless technical execution of our digital and streaming campaigns in the areas of ad platform/pixel maintenance and governance, digital spec procurement, spec translation and dissemination, co-authoring and implementing digital tag/material trafficking, monitoring live digital campaigns for implementation issues, and ensuring the health of event tracking. This role is also key to keeping peers current on important industry tools and trends, and in helping Wonderful Agency continuously improve our processes.
This position is based in Los Angeles, CA. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
Job Description
Who is an Ad Operations Manager? You thrive on being an information hub and key resource, serving as a bridge between agency teams, clients, and vendors. You are passionate about advertising and have a keen interest in managing ad platforms and implementing new technologies. Taking initiative, problem-solving, and attention to detail are your core principles. What we need you to do: Coordinate with Media to understand upcoming campaigns and traffic/tagging needs. Facilitate ad platform pixel and tagging implementation on sites, and proper functioning with GTM. Assist with campaign (or other efforts) URL tracking taxonomy and build-out. Gather and translate digital specs for project management/production teams. Co-author (with Media) digital traffic instruction. Build campaigns in serving/tracking platforms (CM360, Innovid, etc.). Implement tag wrapping with other digital services (e.g., MOAT, IAS, DoubleVerify). Issue digital traffic instructions/tags and materials to media publishers. Provide reporting or reporting access to publishers, as needed. Q/A and monitor live digital campaigns for proper serving and tracking. Assist social team with in-platform campaign Q/A. Coordinate video creative rotations process across key teams. Recognize, analyze and quickly solve discrepancies between ad servers. Work with teams to identify and design new tools and systems to improve efficiency. Stay current and educate peers on upcoming technology product capabilities. Qualifications
3-5 years of applicable work experience, which must include implementing campaigns on Advertiser side (agency or client in-house). Proven experience with ad management technologies including Innovid and CM360; Certification a plus. Deep knowledge of digital video tagging and trafficking across media platforms. Strong familiarity with IVT/viewability technology (e.g., IAS, MOAT, DV) and implementation of these. Functional understanding of Google Analytics (GA4 and Universal) and GTM; certification/class work a plus. Familiarity with key social/digital ad manager platforms (e.g., META, YouTube, Pinterest) and their pixels. Experience working across Media and Dev team, and directly with ad vendor Trafficking/Ad Ops teams. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail. Strong written and oral presentation and communication skills. Proactive approach to problem solving, addressing issues and raising concerns. Self-motivated learner and educator. Experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) is a plus. Pay Range: $110,000 - 120,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
