The Lead Event Strategist will be responsible for leading the event strategy and execution in the Global Marketing & Innovation organization. This role will own and lead the global corporate events strategy, strategic planning process, conference and event prioritization, event ROI measurement (fueling the virtuous cycle), corporate events budget overview, and growing leadgen capture at events. This role will lead a small, specialized events team to fully execute events and conferences with excellence. It will lead a variety of cross-division, multifunctional teams ensuring constant alignment of key stakeholders, ultimately keeping the CMIO, CEO, and key company leaders updated at regular intervals. The role has two direct reports. Travel expected 10–20%.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads and develops event strategy and experience design, event marketing communications, audience acquisition, demand generation, global field enablement and engagement, and integrated campaign alignment.
Supports the creation of event experiences across business groups with an audience-first perspective and event attendee journeys from pre-event to post-event.
Oversees management and tracking of all company-wide events/conferences at which ETS has/should have a presence.
Partners with Communications Team and business partners to develop impactful agendas with respect to keynotes, speakers for panels, and engaging activations on event tech and digital, customer marketing, integrated marketing, leadgen.
Partners with Marketing on event tech and digital, customer marketing, integrated marketing, leadgen.
Aids in the development, coordination, and implementation of marketing assets across our business units.
Assists with global event reporting including post-event surveys, measurement recaps, ROI analysis, and more; makes recommendations on new event/conference opportunities at which ETS should have a presence.
Travel to select events as needed. This may include weekend and evening hours.
Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function.
SKILLS
Industry experience required.
Skilled at cultivating relationships with internal and external partners and cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple collaborators and concurrent programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience communicating with C-suite leaders.
Experience working with or supporting programs that support sales and drive pipeline.
High level of organizational and project management skills.
Adept at multitasking under pressure, with the ability to prioritize and handle a variety of projects simultaneously.
Strong work ethic is a requirement.
Ability to take initiative in problem-solving and decision-making.
Success with achieving goals and OKRs.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.
EXPERIENCE
10+ years of experience in event strategy, event marketing communications, or similar role.
