About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of improving the lives of animals in underserved communities. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and visionary leader, responsible for engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including staff, board members, local communities, partners, and funders. This role involves overseeing the strategic direction of the organization, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining a strong focus on animal welfare. The Executive Director will also be tasked with team management, fostering a culture of collaboration, and empowering staff to fulfill their responsibilities. Additionally, the role includes administrative, operational, and financial leadership, with a key emphasis on fund development and communications. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of ten years' of executive leadership experience, with a proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams. While experience in animal welfare is preferred, it is not required. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and empathetic individual, with strong communication skills and the ability to connect with a variety of audiences. They should be adept at problem-solving, and resourceful, and have a clear understanding of the best practices in executive functions such as strategy, finance, operations, and fundraising. Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
