About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead and transform its philanthropic efforts. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising strategy to significantly increase financial contributions. This role requires a special leader with a commitment to the organization's mission, an undergraduate degree (advanced degree preferred), and a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience, ideally with a proven track record as a Major Gift Officer. The Executive Director will be responsible for fostering a philanthropic culture, engaging with the local and national philanthropic community, and building strong partnerships with foundations, corporations, and individual donors. Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively. The ideal candidate for the Executive Director position at the company should be a self-starter, capable of guiding and building philanthropic programs, people, and processes. They must be computer literate, with a particular proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor management applications, and be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to seize fundraising opportunities. The role operates within a shared model space and the Executive Director will work closely with the organization's staff in various functions. The primary focus of the role is to maximize the fundraising potential of the organization, with a goal of achieving and sustaining significant financial gifts.
