About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its Home Building Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to providing safe and stable housing for the homeless and empowering individuals through education and training in the home building industry. The successful candidate will be a visionary and caring leader, responsible for the Foundation's operations, including annual budget and fundraising goals, strategic planning, and project implementation. This role involves supervising shelter construction and renovation projects, as well as overseeing workforce development efforts. The Executive Director will also be tasked with board development, public relations, and communication, and must have a strong background in non-profit management, fund development, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the Home Building Foundation should have a minimum of 5 years' nonprofit experience, with a focus on board management, fundraising, and leadership. The role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in fund development, including major gifts, grants, and endowments. Strong communication skills, the ability to manage group dynamics, and a professional demeanor are essential. While not mandatory, knowledge of homeless shelter operations and the construction industry is a plus.
