Beautiful westside restaurant is seeking a talented Executive Chef to oversee culinary. The role provides ample room for creativity within a Coastal California cuisine menu, sourcing from fresh local ingredients. Great opportunity for an experienced, innovative individual excited to collaborate with ownership on new ideas! Looking for someone that is excited to help propel the restaurant forward and earn press recognition.


Executive Chef Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with ownership on seasonal and core menu updates
  • Ensure that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Train, develop and mentor the culinary team to grow to their highest potential
  • Foster a positive, professional environment with care, dignity, fairness, respect, and recognition amongst the team
  • Managing and leading the team in cost controls
  • Maintain proper ordering and inventory
  • Follow best practices and uphold high standards for safety and sanitation in the kitchen


Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine leading an ingredient-driven kitchen
  • Background in chef-driven respected restaurants
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities: team focused, and people driven
  • Familiarity with California cuisine, ideally with Western Mediterranean or Italian familiarity
  • Passion for procuring farm fresh ingredients and using locally sourced products whenever possible
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Experience in managing inventory and cost controls
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
