About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its hospice program. The successful candidate will be tasked with implementing and upholding the company's policies and mission, ensuring the program's long-term fiscal viability, and leading all aspects of the local program, including staffing, budgeting, and marketing. This role requires a hands-on approach to the general management of hospice operations, the development and monitoring of annual branch budgets, and a focus on expanding the client base. The Executive Director will also be responsible for partnering with recruiters to attract and hire staff and clinicians, as well as with clinical resources to oversee patient intake and assess needs. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, a minimum of 8 years' of healthcare administration experience, and at least 3 years' in hospice operations management. The role demands a candidate with a strong background in budgetary responsibilities, a broad knowledge of federal and state regulations, and outstanding leadership and managerial skills. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, as are problem-solving, decision-making, and assertiveness skills. Local market experience is a plus.
