About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Energy and Society Institute. The successful candidate will be a key leader and spokesperson, responsible for organizing and synergizing research initiatives, academic programs, and faculty collaborations in the field of energy and society. This role is pivotal in driving the Institute's mission to advance an affordable, sustainable, and reliable energy future for the benefit of society. The Executive Director will also be tasked with ensuring the Institute's overall fiscal health, operational sustainability, and integration into the academic and local community. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the Institute should have a Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a deep understanding of current and future developments in the energy and society domain. The ideal candidate will be an engaging collaborator, adept at team building and fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. A passion for fundraising and a proven track record in this area are essential, as the role involves engaging in external partnerships and diversifying revenue streams. The Executive Director will work closely with the Faculty Director, manage Institute staff, and be instrumental in the translation of research into real-world applications, particularly in the areas of energy system transitions, renewable energy, and climate change mitigation. The role also includes supporting undergraduate courses and curricula related to energy and sustainability, as well as leading initiatives that enhance both academic and practical understanding of these critical issues.
