About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic, programmatic, operational, and financial success of the program, which is dedicated to supporting and empowering new college presidents in their first to third years. The role involves fostering a deep understanding of the relationship between character and the purpose of education, providing leadership development, and creating a network of mutual support and accountability. The Executive Director will work closely with the Seminars Department and the Program Board of Advisors to design and execute the program, manage the selection of Fellows, and ensure the program's impact on the integration of character and human flourishing in liberal arts education. Candidates for the Executive Director position should be visionary leaders with a strong commitment to liberal education, character development, and viewpoint diversity. While not a requirement, credibility with college presidents and experience in the leadership challenges of complex organizations are highly valued. The role demands a high level of integrity, a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to inspire and lead by example. The ideal candidate will be a coalition builder, comfortable with ambiguity, and adept at managing resources to support the program's mission. Strong emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups are essential.
