Job Description
Position Overview:
Blue Equinox is an IT consulting firm specializing in cybersecurity solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead and expand our sales team. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by overseeing sales strategies, mentoring Account Executives, and cultivating client relationships. You will play a pivotal role: leading your team to identify opportunities, close deals, and expand our client base across various industries.
This role is remote with the possibility of occasional (1-2 times per year) required travel to Nashville, TN.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Team
● Develop and perfect an interview process for assessing Account Executive candidates
● Provide strategic direction, ongoing training, and mentorship to the sales team.
● Attend sales presentations and listen to cold call recordings, gathering insights to coach Account Executives
Track Progress
● Monitor and analyze sales metrics, such as revenue growth, conversion rates, and pipeline development.
● Hold your team accountable for meeting targets.
Develop Strategies
● Analyze market trends to identify new opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
● Identify leads (via ZoomInfo filters) that are best suited to each Account Executive, based on geography, size, and industry.
● Create, implement, and continuously improve sales strategies and tactics, driving new business growth.
● Build relationships with our SaaS and MSSP partners, and develop pitches and sales strategies, tailored to their unique products and services.
Build Relationships
● Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
● Support Account Executives in high-level negotiations and deal closures.
Give Feedback
● Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales and marketing strategies.
● Provide feedback to the COO on market trends and client needs.
Lead Tech Stack Adoption
● Ensure Account Executives fully adopt HubSpot and other tools within our tech stack.
● Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports within the CRM system.
Know the Market
● Stay informed about the latest trends in cybersecurity, regulatory requirements, and the competitive landscape.
● Educate the sales team on new developments and best practices.
KPIs
Sales Manager performance is assessed by:
● Overall Team Revenue
● Average Quota Attainment: The average percentage of sales quota achieved by the team.
● Average Ramp-Up Time of Account Executives: The time it takes for new hires to become fully productive and start prospecting effectively.
● Average Time to Quota Attainment for Account Executives: The time it takes for new hires to consistently meet or exceed their sales quotas.
Qualifications
● 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, delivering cybersecurity solutions
● Proven track record of hiring and leading a high-performing sales team.
● Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, services, and market trends.
● Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
● Proficiency in CRM software, preferably HubSpot.
● Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
● Self-motivated with strong leadership and team-building abilities.
