What To ExpectWe are looking for a skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to join our direct procurement team, supporting our manufacturing operations through the direct sourcing of raw materials. These will include specific commodities related to our in-house and Tier 1 partner operations. This role will report to our Supply Chain Group Manager and in parallel may be an active sourcing resource supporting our various Engineering groups within Tesla.
What You'll Do
Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiatedDrive raw material price negotiation process to ensure that Tesla’s commodity pricing meet best-In-class expectations, while meeting supplier industrialization standards of best-In-class quality, in addition to driving continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad-hoc price negotiationsAddress all areas of category management including category business plans, market conditions, cost modeling, and sourcing strategies, developing corrective action plans to mitigate identified risksManage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviewsLead cross-functional teams to manage project timelines including developing and maintaining action trackers, Gantt charts, and other program management tools related to on-time delivery of supplier materials against Program timingAbility to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and influence timely decisions with key stakeholders to support our mission
What You'll Bring
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Chemistry, equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability3+ years of experience in supply chain management, commodity management, or in an engineering or manufacturing environmentExcellent negotiatorAbility to travel up to 25% of the time

Expected Compensation
$72,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
