What To ExpectWe are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Global Supply Manager to support our development teams and contract manufacturing partners in the sourcing of Direct Supply Chain components and parts. These will include specific parts related to Optimus, our general-purpose robotic humanoid that’s currently under development and/or any other components intrinsic to the successful running of the organization.

In this role, you will own and manage the Robotics PCBA commodity strategy including leading supplier selection decisions, managing and developing key supplier relationships, driving commercial cost reductions and supporting new product introductions from a supply chain perspective. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will build and leverage strong working relationships with cross-functional partners in engineering and work together with our suppliers to assure cost, quality and delivery targets are met to achieve maximum advantage for Tesla and our customers.

What You'll Do

Own commodity strategy for PCBAs for Tesla Robotics products including developing and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and identifying new suppliers as needed to support Tesla’s business and technical requirementsCollaborate with Supply Chain Manager counterparts managing PCBAs for Vehicle and ensure commodity strategy aligns across all Tesla product platformsOwn RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs in support of Tesla projects and lead supplier selection decisionsOwner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiatedDrive negotiation for piece price and product development to ensure that Tesla’s pricing meets best-landed-cost expectations as well as Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class qualityAssess supplier capabilities and capacity to support Tesla’s current and future technical and demand requirements; ensure suppliers selected can scale and grow with TeslaLead and execute supplier resourcing projects as neededBuild and develop cost models to aid in commercial cost negotiationsDrive commercial cost negotiations with suppliers to ensure Tesla receives best possible pricing; leverage cost models and analysis on current market conditionsLead contract negotiations with suppliers to complete supply, development, licensing and service agreements as neededManage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviewsCommunicate key supply, cost, and/or quality issues with management teams. Develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks. Ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and influence timely decisions with key stakeholders to support our mission. Monitor current market conditions and technology roadmaps to proactively identify and address any supply challenges and to determine future business opportunities

What You'll Bring

5+ years of experience in supply chain management or commodity management associated to sensors and/or electronicsExperience with mechanical engineering concepts related to the commodity and ability to generate bottom-up should costs based on the understanding of manufacturing processProficient knowledge of technical requirements & design of the product and be able to influence cross functional partners with detailed analysis that supports optimized pricing and product sourcing decisionsExperience with Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering concepts related to the commodity and ability to generate bottom-up should costs based on the understanding of manufacturing processBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering or Chemistry, experience, or evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent experience

Expected Compensation

$72,000 - $192,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
