Ten Mile is looking to hire a self-motivated and career-driven Lowboy Driver. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Lowboy Driver is responsible for operating a truck & trailer for transportation of construction material and equipment. In this position, the Driver will load construction equipment and materials (may include but are not limited to: skid steers, rollers, dozers, excavators, and materials) onto trailer and transport to various sites. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/trucks. Over time frequently available.

- Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment;
- Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies;
- Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions;
- Load and unload equipment or materials;
- Use proper load securement practices;
- Thorough operational knowledge and skills of trucks and related equipment to be operated;
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times;
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required;
- Must keep company vehicles in a clean and orderly condition;
- Driver will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers;
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook;
- Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite;
- Good with directions;
- Able to work in all weather conditions;
- Perform general labor duties when necessary;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experienced drivers for tractor/trailer. Class A CDL with experience required with good driving record;
- Tanker endorsement a plus but not required;
- MUST have previous experience with heavy haul oversized equipment
- Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check;
- Be willing to work holidays and weekends when necessary;
- Report to work at the designated start time;
- Be able to work overtime when required;
- Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold;
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas;
- Great attention to detail and stress tolerance.
Environment
This position will require working outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold with rain to very hot and humid. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high, with occasional periods of time exposed to machine noise.
