Job Summary L'Oreal USA seeks a Director to join the US Public Affairs team within the Corporate Affairs & Engagement Department. In this role, the Director will contribute to the advancement of the company's strategic public affairs objectives through proactive advocacy and engagement with stakeholders that influence public policy, primarily at the state level. Role & Responsibilities Partner with the Vice President of US Public Affairs and other team members to provide subject matter expertise in government relations, public policy, and stakeholder engagement. Monitor and analyze the implications of pending executive action, legislation, government policies, NGO action, and competitor strategies for L'Oreal USA. Build and maintain strategic networks of internal stakeholders for cross-functional policy issue alignment. Build and maintain strong external relationships with legislators, policymakers, NGOs, and other key opinion leaders. Represent L'Oreal USA externally on priority policy issues at industry trade associations. Provide subject matter expertise and support to key business and corporate partners on policy issues and strategic communications. Identify opportunities for thought leadership on priority environmental policy issues. Qualifications/Requirements Salary Range: $138,500 - $200,800 (The actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors). Bachelor's degree in Public Affairs, Public Policy, Political Science, Political Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 7-10 years of cumulative experience within Federal or State Government, a Political Campaign, NGO, Public Affairs/Communications consulting firm, or in-house at a matrixed organization preferred. Prior experience working on policy issues relevant to consumer goods products. Knowledge of the political process at the federal, state, and local levels. Strong executive presence and communication/presentation skills. Strong strategic thinking skills and business acumen. Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
