Qualifications
Exhibit high-level market knowledge and ability to converse with financial advisors on investment solutions and current economic and market conditions BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required 3+ years of experience in mutual fund or brokerage industry required Series 7 & 66 (63 & 65 in lieu) Strong knowledge of investment trends and advisor practices Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to engage with key partners and to present sales materials and provide technical information regarding our products Ability to work in team environment while being a driven self-starter Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and work under tight time constraints Desire to have a “Sales as a Destination” career with upward mobility in client facing sales roles Proven MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience with web-based technology Clean U-4 Responsibilities
The Specialist Sales team consists of six unique roles with various opportunities to accelerate major drivers of USWA’s key product and solution areas Models Specialist: The key responsibility of this role is to accelerate the growth of Model Portfolios across our client base In this role you will have discrete client coverage focused on selling a broad range of Model Portfolios to financial advisors across various channels while demonstrating ability to be subject matter expert on Models and being held accountable to specific territory sales goals Portfolio Engagement Specialist: The main responsibility of this role is to partner with field sales partners to deepen relationships with financial advisor by helping to streamline and scale their investment process through portfolio design, portfolio scaling, providing model rebalance insights and assist with rules-based model customizations SMA Specialists: This team is responsible for accelerating the growth of Separately Managed Accounts across our client base In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert across full range of BlackRock SMA offerings, partner with field sales teams to deliver our solutions to clients and provide exceptional service to clients Alternatives Specialist: The Alts specialist is responsible for developing client relationships and educating Financial Advisors on the benefits of investing in the Alternatives while positioning BlackRock’s suite of AI products across USWA’s entire client base Wealth Solutions Specialist: This role is responsible for accelerating growth of all products and solutions various client segments while demonstrating comprehensive profiling, sales opportunity identification, ability to build and develop a client base of financial advisors and ability to educate clients on BlackRock’s robust digital platform Edward Jones Specialist: This role is responsible for developing and deepening relationships with the largest and fastest growing advisors at Edward Jones This role should demonstrate subject matter expertise across Edward Jones’ business and platform, will have discrete client coverage and will also partner with Market Leaders/Externals to deeply serve Edward Jones advisors Build an efficient and thoughtful strategy to maximize engagement and influence Expand existing client base by uncovering investment needs and presenting solutions Identify and pursue new opportunities by client profiling, lead identification, and follow-up activity Embrace the firm’s commitment to the client experience and exceed client expectations Partner with colleagues across the organization to improve the BlackRock/Client relationship Benefits
