The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Chief Information Officer to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. TGC is a Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for developing and implementing The Guidance Center's (TGC's) information technology and data strategy. The CIO is additionally responsible for all software, hardware, and infrastructure as well as overall management of TGC's data. The CIO directly supervises a team of IT professionals and serves as primary point of contact/TGC Liaison to TGC's Electronic Medical Record vendor.

Chief Information Officer Primary Duties:

Develops and implements a data strategy that leverages financial and clinical data to improve decision making, care coordination, and organizational transparency. Oversees data reporting and analytics to support federal and state reporting requirements, including grants and compliance. Plans, deploys, and maintains IT systems and operations. Leads the optimization of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to ensure staff are using all capabilities to client care, workflow efficient, and compliance. Collaborates with clinical, operational, and financial leaders to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and used to drive key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality improvement initiatives. Works with clinical teams to ensure EMR usage aligns with best practices for documentation, care coordination, and client engagement. Manage ongoing training and development for staff to ensure consistent and effective use of the EMR system. Identifies potential cybersecurity threats and creates/implements a mitigation plan. Develops and updates Information Technology policies and procedures to include risk management strategies.

Chief Information Officer Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in one of the following fields: Information Technology Computer Science Management Information Systems IT Management Preferred: Master's degree from accredited program in one of the following fields: Preferred: IT Management Certification.

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in directing/managing IT programs. Minimum of three (3) years of experience with staff supervision.
