Job Summary The Head of School is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the academic, operational, and strategic direction of the school. This position requires a visionary leader who can foster a positive educational environment, manage staff effectively, and engage with the community to promote the school's mission. The Head of School will work closely with faculty, students, and parents to ensure a high-quality educational experience while implementing innovative curriculum development and fundraising initiatives. Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of school operations, including academic programs and administrative functions. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the school's educational offerings and community engagement. Supervise faculty and staff, providing mentorship and support to foster professional growth. Oversee curriculum development to ensure alignment with educational standards and student needs. Manage budgeting processes to ensure financial sustainability and resource allocation for school initiatives. Engage in public speaking opportunities to represent the school at events, meetings, and community gatherings. Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including parents, alumni, and local organizations for fundraising efforts. Educate staff on best practices in teaching methodologies and classroom management techniques. Monitor student progress and well-being, ensuring a supportive learning environment for all students. Skills Strong classroom management skills with a focus on student engagement and learning outcomes. Proven experience in fundraising strategies and community outreach initiatives. Excellent public speaking abilities to effectively communicate with diverse audiences. Proficient in curriculum development that meets educational standards while addressing student needs. Solid budgeting skills to manage school finances effectively. Experience supervising staff in an educational setting, promoting teamwork and collaboration. Strategic planning capabilities to set long-term goals for the school's growth and development. Background in working directly with students to understand their needs and enhance their educational experience. Minimum Requirements Must have or be working towards a Masters in Educational Leadership. Bachelor's degree (Preferred). 1 year of experience in education administration (Preferred). Ability to commute to Winter Garden, FL 34787 (Required). Ability to relocate to Winter Garden, FL 34787 before starting work (Required).
