About us Seattle United FC is a non-profit youth club soccer program with over 150 teams and 2,200 players in Seattle, WA. Our teams compete in the ECNL, ECNL-RL, RCL (Premier level), and NPSL (Select level) leagues. We have players from U7 – U19, both strong Girls and Boys programs, and have competed successfully at the National level. We are a 15-year-old club with a strong history, brand, customer base, and financials. Seattle United is the competitive club of choice for players in Greater Seattle and aims to reflect the diversity of its membership in the club’s players, coaches, and leaders. Job Summary We are accepting applications for Seattle United’s Juniors Director position, beginning as soon as December 2024. Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. This position requires the individual to lead our U8-U9 Juniors Program that develops young athletes' skills across multiple levels. Strong candidates will have experience leading a similar program, a history of success developing young talent, and attracting, developing, and retaining a strong coaching team. Candidates should have a strong ability to communicate with players, parents, and colleagues. Candidates should also have the ability to create annual training plans and sessions geared towards the U8-U9 age groups. The Juniors Director will serve on the club’s technical committee and report to the Executive Director of the club. Responsibilities Provide expert leadership and guidance to coaches Collaborate with ECNL Director, Boys & Girls Director, and Executive Director to create a seamless curriculum that carries players from the Juniors program to the U10-12 age groups and beyond Design and implement effective training programs to improve player performance Oversee regular practices and games Develop, recruit, and maintain a high-quality staff of coaches Foster a positive and supportive team culture Perform evaluations of coaches in the Juniors program Participate in club technical meetings, league meetings, and other events as required Frequent and concise communication to Juniors families Skills Experience as a Juniors Director or Age Group Director at a large youth soccer club Strong communication skills Ability to effectively communicate with players, parents, and staff Ability to organize a coaching staff and club standards Minimum of a USSF C License Familiarity with current training best practices Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Strong organizational and time management skills
