is actively seeking a highly motivated, full-time
Interior Designer
in
Washington DC . Key Responsibilities: Develops design strategies for new construction projects and renovation of existing building interiors. Provides architectural and space planning solutions that include preparation of architectural drawings. Performs review of design intent drawings. Provides project team coordination for finished plans, specifications and material selection required for construction. Produces AutoCAD construction drawings and performs support functions as directed to meet the budget, schedule, and project design goals. Collaborates with project team members to ensure compliance with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and safety, and Agency requirements. Gathers project requirements; builds estimates, develops schedules, and executes projects. Develops project briefings and presentations for senior management. Maintains and organizes project files, invoices, estimates, and vendor information. Investigates and resolves facility construction and renovation issues. Coordinates the following facility planning requirements: IT, Security, furniture procurement and configuration and construction. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design. 5 years of related experience with furniture procurement and installation. Experience working as a contractor for federal agencies, specifically the Department of Homeland Security. Knowledge/experience with various planning concepts, such as office hoteling, desk sharing, and team sharing areas. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Familiarity with MS Project. Ability to work in a dynamic environment. Ability to obtain and hold a Background Investigation. About Us: The Oneida ESC Group
