The Alliances Principal is a subject matter expert in airline partnerships at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. As an individual contributor, this role contributes to the long-term strategy for alliances and exercises considerable latitude and initiative to broaden the breadth and depth of Alaska’s global reach. Key Duties:
Owns strategic partnerships with responsibility for operational, financial and commercial components. Builds relationships with key individuals internally and externally with a focus on operating at all levels of partner airline organization. Drives strategy related to the development of partnerships including regular development and delivery of senior executive briefings in a manner that builds trust and drives strategic alignment. Negotiates frequent flyer, interline, codeshare, prorate and other commercial agreements that meet Alaska’s strategic objectives and financial goals. Ensures partnerships are sustainable and mutually beneficial. Analyzes and makes recommendations to address the financial performance of partnerships. Ensures reporting dashboards accurately distill key alliance insights with clear and concise executive reporting. Collaborates with marketing to extend the efficacy of Alaska’s Global Partner marketing efforts including development of joint campaigns with oneworld and individual partner airlines. Advocates both internally and externally for seamless guest experiences that support Alaska’s desire to offer hassle-free global connectivity. Leads projects that extend the relevance of Alaska’s oneworld alliance and additional global partner relationships. Applies deep knowledge of the competitive environment both domestically and globally, and remains cognizant of second-order effects from shifting allegiances that could impact Alaska. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills:
Required 7 years of experience in marketing, sales, finance, business development or related area. Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree. Robust knowledge of alliance and partnership structures. Awareness of global development trends. Exceptional analytical background with proven ability to navigate complex datasets. Strong communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening) with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely to both internal and external constituencies. Detail oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum age of 18. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Airline industry experience. Experience developing strategic plans. Passion for aviation, guest experience and platform development. Experience using Excel, Alteryx and/or Tableau. Job-Specific Leadership Expectations:

$123,700- $204,100 / year Pay Details:
Seattle: $136,100 - $204,100 Honolulu: $123,700 - $185,600 Salary Details:
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees.
