Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. in this document . Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) oversee and coordinate alternative financing programs, i.e. energy savings performance and utility energy service contracts and related energy programs and other strategic initiatives throughout an organization or enterprise; 2) apply program management techniques to ensure proper sequencing of events and tracking of processes and budget; 3) apply problem-solving techniques to avoid anticipated or actual problems detrimental to the programs; 4) implement policy and actions to address development and sustainment of mission and objectives; 5) chair meetings, perform formal and informal briefings and presentations to high-level management and/or prepares information papers for appropriate activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Data Analysis and Decision Making Partnering Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
