In this role, you will work to make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and help create efficiency with all clinical related tasks.  Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring that an Exceptional Patient Experience is delivered to every patient
  • Keep chairs stocked and organized as well as clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment
  • Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment for each patient
  • Organizing and laying out instruments for dentist's use 
  • Setup rooms for all operative procedures, and ready for patients' and doctor
  • After each patient, sterilize operatory and instrumentation according to OSHA / CDC standards.
  • Be aware of schedule changes, and other procedures progress in order to prioritize actions.
  • Schedule patients accordingly, discuss procedure consents, and ensure all clinical documents are accurate as it relates to procedures
  • Take radiographs of patients as needed, or requested 
  • Perform lab duties such as pouring models and fabricating whitening trays.
  • Able to send cases to dental labs, properly enter into software with accurate return date giving enough time for proper turn around.
  • Assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry on all procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.   


Experience and Education:

  • One to three years of related experience as a dental assistant, required. 
  • Dental Assistant Certification, preferred. 
  • Certificate in Radiology, preferred. 


Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent chairside manners; providing excellent patient service 
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written 
  • Excellent Time Management Skills; Proactive approach 
  • Ability to promote confidentiality as it relates to patient information and care
