Job Summary:
The Director of the Children's Hospital Foundation manages the daily operations of the Foundation. This position supervises its staff, including but not limited to those dedicated to special events planning, grant writing, and individual and corporate annual giving. The Director assists the Executive Director in planning, executing, and evaluating strategies for various fundraising programs, including annual giving, major gifts, foundation grants, and planned gifts. Responsibilities include: Ensuring development and maintenance of appropriate systems and protocols for fund development. Developing and overseeing the budget for the Children's Hospital Foundation. Cultivating, supporting, directing, and assisting volunteers, including Guild members. Maintaining accountability standards of donors and funding sources. Identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors to Children's Hospital. Performing other duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. Minimum five years fundraising experience required. One year of leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Able to read, write, and speak with professional quality; proficient in necessary computer and software programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment. Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and compliance with regulatory standards. Capable of working calmly under pressure, managing multiple assignments, and maintaining attention to detail.
Licensures and Certifications:
Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.
