1 Who We Are… Drive Social Media is one of the fastest-growing advertising technology companies in the country. We have developed a cloud-based advertising management platform to achieve better campaign results and transparency while improving advertising efficiencies to stimulate revenue growth. We are looking for a Director of Business Development for our Tampa office. This role involves leading, developing, and scaling a high-performing team of Business Developers, helping them close deals, and generating significant revenue. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of sales processes, and a passion for coaching and development. Responsibilities:
Negotiate and conduct closing meetings face to face and virtually with small/medium sized business owners. Build, lead, and mentor 3-5 business developers to meet and exceed sales targets. Foster a high-performance culture and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the team. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the sales team against established metrics and KPIs. Review and analyze sales reps’ pipelines and leads in Salesforce, providing feedback and guidance on opportunities and challenges. Organize and run regular sales meetings to review progress, share best practices, and address challenges. Prepare and present reports on sales forecasts, sales performance metrics, and market trends to senior management. Develop and execute the business development strategy to drive growth and achieve company objectives. Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing sales teams, especially in a cold calling environment. Strong understanding of digital marketing and the ability to articulate its value to clients. Ability to negotiate sales contracts, terms, and conditions to close deals. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies. Experience with a self-sourced sales cycle and track record of over-achieving quota. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends. Ability to handle tough conversations and address concerns while maintaining empathy. Previous experience in an agency or with digital marketing is a HUGE plus. Experience with Salesforce, Orum, and other sales enablement tools. Face-to-face consultative selling experience in the Tampa area. Proven track record of closing high ticket sales with small/medium sized businesses. Flexibility to work beyond regular hours to achieve targets and meet deadlines when necessary.
