Role Description: Huitt-Zollars, Inc has full-time opportunity for aSenior Project Manager for our Denver office with at least 10 years of ProjectManagement experience with structuralclients. Must be registered in Coloradoas aProfessional Engineer.Location: DenverEmployment Type: 40 FT HoursCompensation Type: SalaryRegistration(s): Professional Licensed EngineerEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Duties:Work as a member of multi-discipline project team in the design anddevelopment of projects.Collaborate with, and act as a resource for, Huitt-Zollars in amulti-discipline office. This includes conducting meetings with clients,internal disciplines and or contractors and their subs.Design and analyze structural systems for low-to high-rise buildings.Coordinate and delegate tasks between multiple disciplines and attend regularmeetings.Effectively mentor young engineers and assist in their development.Assist and work with senior staff to develop project budgets and proposedfees.Review shop drawings, perform field inspections, and facilitate theconstruction administration process.Demonstrate competency in all project phases.Perform quality reviews of engineering plans for completeness and engineeringaccuracy.Key Responsibilities:Takes active steps in the pursuit of winning new business or additionalopportunities with existing clients and may be responsible for a statedportion of office sales goal. Assists and/or leads team in pursuit of newwork (repeat work, SOQ and Proposals). Develops and/or executesproject Win strategy.Successfully and consistently functions as Lead Principal-in-Charge for theirdesignated Practice Area in geographic market.Competent, knowledgeable, service leader in the market(s) they service.Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Ensures qualitycontrol measures are being adhered to on projects and daily operations.Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and properwork planning for a project. Ensures proper staff is assigned and utilized ontheir projects.Reviews project reports and performance metrics to track project progress andbudget. Leads successful projects (profit, on-schedule, quality,satisfied client). Verifies client satisfaction routinely and sharesfeedback with team.Proactively works with PM to strategize resolving issues that impact projectperformance. Reviews progress with PM at least monthly (including &completes vs. % spent) and that PM is adhering to weekly rhythm.Successfully contributes to the overall profitability and financialperformance on projects.Oversees staff deliverables and production assigned to their projects toensure client, legal, and company requirements are met.Role Competencies:Sharing Information: Conveying up-to date information in the most efficientand useful manner to the appropriate stakeholders.Critical Thinking: Analyzing problems and solutions by evaluating thequality of the information available from different sources and avoidingdecision-making bias.Executes Strategy: Ensuring that people remain focused on accomplishingstrategic goals by thoughtfully planning tasks and overcoming obstaclesFosters a Learning Culture: Creating an inspiring and engaging atmospherewhere people feel motivated to grow, experiment, and learn new skills.Identifies Talent: Actively maintaining awareness of internal and externaltalent, current abilities, and hiring needs.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering, Masters of Science Degree is welcomed,but not required.Must be a Licensed Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Colorado.Minimum 10years of experience.Experience in design of structural systems using the following materials:Wood framed, light gauge and structural steel, concrete, masonry, anddeep foundations.Sound verbal, written, and raphic communication skills.Excellent ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members.Organized and self-motivated.Should have experience in the following programs: Adapt software, RAMstructural systems, RAM elements, RISA software, Microsoft outlook,word, excel and PowerPoint.Strong Revit skillsStrong understanding of national codes and industry standards.This position is also required to adhere to Huitt-Zollars' Core Value andLeadership Competencies.About Huitt-Zollars:Huitt-Zollars, Inc. is a privately held, 100% employee-owned leadingArchitectural and Engineering (A/E) firm since being established in1975.
