Darigold is seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Compliance Supervisor to be a part of Darigold’s Jerome team. The QA Supervisor’s role is to administer corporate policies and procedures as they relate to quality and food safety, in conjunction with the Quality Manager through performance, supervision, monitoring, and development of quality systems and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)
Able to perform all quality and food safety related testing Daily review of Appendix N documentation and reporting Daily review of processing and quality data collected by Operators Track, trend and report key quality measures weekly and monthly Complete and maintain vitamin fortification program and records Daily review of production paperwork Product packaging and label management Maintain environmental swabbing investigation, escalation and corrective actions program Maintain, review and verify COA’s from ingredient vendors Monthly quality review participation (trace exercises, program reviews, etc.) Participation in the plant HACCP and SQF programs through program development, internal auditing, audit preparation, audit assistance and audit corrective action response Assist in all other plant audits to include ISDA, USDA, Kosher, Halal, Customer, Corporate Food Safety, Corporate Quality, etc. Perform GMP inspections and facilitate plant response and closure Participate in plant Quality investigations Corrective Action Program Management Special projects Plant quality and food safety related training Assist with regulatory compliance Assists QA Manager with managing quality programs in the plant Acts as backup to QA Manager when absent Assists with lab coverage as needed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to facilitate implementation of corporate quality systems in a positive and proactive manner Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others, as well as the ability to operate independently as required Ability to manage multiple priorities Must be goal oriented and results driven Must have strong technical skills Organizational skills Preferred Education, Experience and Certifications: Experience in Dairy or Food Quality Assurance is a plus with preference given to those with a B.S. Degree in Food/Dairy Science/Microbiology or an associated discipline. Experience in food plant sanitation.
