YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary:

The QA Regulatory Manager is responsible for providingquality and food safety support to all departments within Colony Gums toinclude Supplier and Customer related issues. The QA Regulatory Manager is thesubject matter expert in quality and food safety for the facility. Develops,implements, manages and tracks the effectiveness of an integrated program,including systems, standards, procedures, measures and tools to assure thatfood safety, quality, sanitation and regulatory requirements are met for foodproducts and operations. This role holds authority in determining if productionwas manufactured in accordance with corporate global, local, federal, and allother global food safety standards such as GFSI, HACCP, SQF, cGMP, FDA, ISO9001:2015, Oregon Tilth, Halal, Kosher. This role then provides guidance tovarious Leadership Team members for further decision making. Should incomingquality, production or packaged product fail the product's quality and/or foodsafety specifications or requirements, the manager should ensure that theproduct status is identified, placed on hold, quarantined to then conduct athorough investigation of the failure mode via root-cause analysis. Works withCA/PA Teams to then verify and validate corrective & preventive actions.The manager should work with department managers in resolve. TheQA Regulatory Manager provides oversight to Food Safety and Quality Assurancerelated to the company's functions to implement and manage compliance tovarious Auditors, Certification Bodies, Suppliers, and Customers.ng any failure modesto ensure it is safe to resume production. This role also keeps management andteam members current regarding quality initiatives, training, while applying amentoring strategy in the facility.

Job Description:

Quality Assurance Management:
  • Leadthe Food Safety and HACCP strategy.
  • Interactregularly with production, sales, R&D, commercial, suppliers, customers andsupply-chain personnel.
  • Representquality assurance on visits to suppliers and customers as required.
  • Staysup to date and builds expertise in food safety best practices and industry bestpractices.
  • Collectsdata and provides for an analysis to assist in troubleshooting and verifyingsafe quality food.
  • Collectsand uses statistical analysis to determine where continuous improvement isnecessary.
  • Collaborateswith Production Manager to create and improve on company quality culture on theplant floor.
  • Performsregular assessment of the Quality Management System to prepare for internal andexternal audits.
  • Athirst for Continuous Improvement of products, processes, workflows, and self.
  • Coordinatewith R&D and Lab personnel to assure proper tools and calibrated measuringequipment is available and maintained.
  • ReviewSOP's and Work Instructions for accuracy, relevance, and doc control.

Stake Holder Communication & Coordination:

  • Schedulesmeetings to collect information from all stakeholders relevant to the QMS.
  • Providesinput in the weekly management meetings.
  • Acceptsrole of leadership at facility and enhances teamwork, relationships, andperformance.
  • Manages response and closeout ofnon-conformances with proper documentation to all stakeholders.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Collaboratewith all functions to resolve non-conformance reports (NCRs) related to rawmaterials or finished products.
  • Review,Audit, Verify, Validate, and Approve Formal Corrective Actions

Collaboration:
  • Participatein new product launches, proactively assess potential failure modes of newequipment/processes.
  • Assureproper quality related onboarding is administered for new employees and auditperformance.
  • Activemember of the Leadership Team to gain a positive culture, synergy, and enhancedcooperation.
YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:
  • Associate'sor bachelor's degree in Industrial / Manufacturing Technology, CQE, Business,or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimumof 3 years' experience in Quality Management, or a related field within amanufacturing environment.
  • In-depthknowledge of Food Safety and Quality Management System's particularly in foodand pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel, Statistical Analysis, PFMEA, APQP Launch Planning, ISO9001:2015
  • Proficiencyin Troubleshooting Tools, Root-Cause Analysis, Quality SOP's, Internal &External Auditing, Data
  • Communication using statistics (mean, standarddeviation, distribution, CpK, random variation, special-cause awareness.)
  • Proficiencyin Troubleshooting Tools, Root-Cause Analysis, Quality SOP's, Internal &External Auditing, Data
  • Communication using statistics (mean, standarddeviation, distribution, CpK, random variation, special-cause awareness.
  • Labequipment use and familiarity.
  • Abilityto understand trends, seasonality, multivariable effects.
