JOB DESCRIPTION

Pramira is seeking a Heavy Equipment/Diesel System Mechanic who will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on vacuum trucks, air compressors, hydro vacs, and diesel trucks, and other equipment both the in the shop and in the field. This position requires travel to make field service and repair calls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Effectively read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air and water systems
  • Conduct all repairs within DOT or OEM standards and service to return rental equipment "Ready to Rent" status
  • Performs and document "check in" and "check out" inspections of fleet equipment
  • Maintain and organize shop and storage areas, ensuring Super Products standard of excellence is met.
  • Effectively complete all documentation of work performed
  • Adheres to company policies, regulations, procedures, and principles.
  • All other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy duty construction equipment and diesel system repair.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the function, operation, and maintenance of truck-mounted vacuum equipment and other construction equipment preferred
  • Must demonstrate a solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data, drawings, and schematics
  • Ability to administer DOT inspections
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be organized and possess the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team, as well as work alone effectively
  • Be self-motivated, shows complete accountability, is timely in all assignments
  • Must provide and maintain basic hand tools. The company will provide all large and specialized tools
  • Possess a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and work with little to no supervision
  • Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Hourly rate is based on experience and qualifications
