Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Tucson Asphalt seeks a skilled heavy equipment mechanic to service, maintain, and repair asphalt paving equipment. Our fleet consists of Volvo & Leeboy asphalt pavers, Volvo & Cat rollers, Case & Cat backhoes, Gannons & front-end loaders, Cat skid steers, Crafco rubber melters. Mechanics are responsible for keeping a digital log of any maintenance or repairs done to each piece of equipment. Emergency fieldwork may be required.

Small Engine Mechanic

Tucson Asphalt is growing and looking for a skilled small engine mechanic to service, maintain, and repair our plate tamps, jumping jacks, blowers, walk-behind saws, hand saws, and generators. Work will consist of 90-day inspections, annual inspections, preventive maintenance, and making any necessary repairs found during inspections. Mechanics are responsible for keeping a digital log of any maintenance or repairs done to each piece of equipment.

Truck Mechanic

Tucson Asphalt is growing and looking for a skilled truck mechanic to service, maintain, and repair our heavy and medium-duty truck fleet. Our heavy truck fleet consists of Peterbuilt, Mack, International & Freightliner dump, water, and transport trucks. Our medium-duty fleet includes late-model Ford F 550 diesels and Chevy 2500 HD gas and diesel pick-ups. Daily tasks consist of performing preventive maintenance, 90-day inspections, annual inspections, and any necessary repairs found during inspections. Mechanics will keep a digital log of any services and repairs made. Emergency fieldwork may be required.

*Welding/fabrication skills are a plus but not required.

Work Hours:

8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday

                *Possibility of overtime and weekends

Requirements:

§  Must own Tools required for the job.

§  High School Education or GED

§  Valid Arizona Driver’s License, *CDL a plus but not required.

§  Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and subject to random drug testing.

Physical Requirements:
Must stand for extended periods, lift arms above shoulder level, and lift/move objects 80 pounds or more. Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
