Location: Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania (Travel Required)


Hourly Pay: $25 - $30 per hour

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Fleet and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team and support the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles and heavy machinery for ongoing environmental construction projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and vehicles are properly maintained and operational for work at various job sites across Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas. You will be a hands-on leader in the field, working alongside the crew to maintain the integrity of our equipment and ensure safety on site.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and heavy equipment used in environmental construction projects.
  • · Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on-site for trucks, loaders, excavators, and other construction machinery.
  • · Ensure all equipment is in safe and operational condition, minimizing downtime and ensuring maximum productivity.
  • · Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment status.
  • · Operate equipment as needed to assist with project completion and to ensure hands-on knowledge of machine functionality.
  • · Provide leadership in the field, offering technical guidance and support to the team and subcontractors.
  • · Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to ensure equipment needs are met on time and within budget.

  • Required Qualifications:
  • · Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance or heavy equipment repair. Experience in a construction or environmental construction setting is preferred.
  • · Certifications: Relevant certifications or training in heavy equipment mechanics preferred (e.g., ASE, EPA, etc.).
  • · Skills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • · Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting maintenance and working with clients and team members.
  • · Leadership: Ability to lead by example and work independently in the field.
  • · Safety: Familiarity with safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • · Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record per company policy.
  • · Ability to pass a background check.
  • · Must be able to pass periodic and random drug and alcohol screenings.
  • · Ability to lift to 100 pounds and work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, etc.).
  • · Must be willing to travel to various job sites across multiple states.
  • Physical Demands:
  • · The position involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions and may require physical labor, including bending, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment.
  • · Ability to work in challenging environments and maintain physical stamina throughout the day.
