The DoDIN Enterprise Foundations (N241) operates within MITRE's integrated division serving the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO). This department helps drive the modernization of critical warfighter IT capabilities by providing technical expertise and thought leadership to government partners. The department's work strategically aligns with three key initiatives:

DoD CIO's Fulcrum strategy

DISA NEXT

DoD’s Data and AI Adoption Strategy

N241 is currently seeking a Task Lead (TL) to manage operations with the CDAO's Advanced Command and Control Accelerator (AC2A) Division. This role supports the AC2A Division's mission of implementing Data Integration Layer capabilities, which are essential for:

Enabling rapid data sharing

Supporting resilient communications

Facilitating effective joint operations

Enhancing coalition/partner collaboration

These capabilities directly support the Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) vision and reference architecture and are essential in helping CDAO be successful delivering a minimum viable capability.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Task Lead (TL) will lead a large, multi-disciplinary team focused on aiding CDAO in their effort to deliver effective, robust, and reliable technologies for Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) data integration. MITRE tasking spans the services and technologies needed to leverage industry best practices, architectures, and technologies that can solve the vendor-locked, data silo problem facing DoD today. To unlock this data, the Data Integration Layer needs a secure, user-friendly, intuitive, self-service data marketplace that includes a set of data mesh services that expose, transform, and provide discovery and access to this data at the strategic levels and to and from the tactical edge through resilient tactical data services.

The TL will oversee support activities across a diverse range of disciplines, including Systems Engineering, Policy, Acquisition, Data Operations, Data Orchestration, and Data Workflow Analysis activities, and needs the ability to effectively delegate work, integrate input from subject matter experts, and manage interconnected activities.

The TL will fulfill the following responsibilities:

Team Leadership – Serves as the primary work supervisor for staff assigned to the task, creating and leading an effective team to achieve sponsor outcomes

Technical Quality/Execution/Capability Development – Coordinates with project leadership in work shaping, work program development, maintaining awareness of emerging technical issues and opportunities

Collaboration and Communications – Supports regular communication between staff and Project Leaders, seeks collaboration opportunities across tasks, and facilitates open sharing of program and/or technical area knowledge with other MITRE staff

Routine activities will include interfacing with multiple sponsors to capture their operational needs and assess where MITRE expertise can provide the most impact; coordinating and managing activities amongst the sub-teams on the task; communicating internally with other MITRE stakeholders involved with JADC2, particularly the Intel Community, Joint Staff, and Combatant Command programs.

In performing these roles, the TL works closely with CDAO project leadership and other task leads, as well as N241 Department management.
