Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Electrical Diagnostics & Repair Specialist

Shift: Monday to Friday, Day Shift + Saturday 8 AM - 12 Noon

(Plenty of opportunity for overtime!)

Pay: $30 - $40/hour and up, based on experience

About Us:

Join our team at a leading recycling operation where we shred and bale metal and cardboard for shipment and recycling. We're looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic with strong electrical diagnostic and repair skills to maintain our fleet of specialized machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair the following machinery:
• Shredders: Arjes, Hammel
• Material Handlers: Fuchs
• Balers: Centurion 200, HRB-8/NF
• Loaders: Volvo Wheel Loader L70H, L70E
• Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standard to minimize downtime.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure equipment is fully operational and safe.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in heavy equipment repair, particularly with electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on shredders, material handlers, balers, and loaders.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
