Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Fuel Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting and delivering fuel to equipment and our job sites, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of hazardous materials. This role requires strict adherence to safety regulations, exceptional driving skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering diesel fuel to construction equipment located at various construction sites in the Phoenix area.
- Preform preventative maintenance services such as oil changes greasing and fueling equipment
- Perform duties in an expedient and professional manner and maintain open communication with the shop and field.
- Works both in a field and a shop environment.
- Adheres to all safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver, preferably with experience in fuel transportation to construction job sites.
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Ability to work nights
- Must own the tools necessary to perform oil changes on various sizes of machines and over the road trucks.
- Must have a clean CDL with tanker and HASMAT endorsements
- Approach work in a meticulous, thorough, and detailed manner.
- Prioritize work to meet goals or deadlines.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hazardous material handling.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and handle the physical demands of loading and unloading fuel.
Education & Work Experience
- High School or Equivalent
- At least 3 years experience.
- C.D.L with hazmat and tanker endorsement required
- Own your own tools
- Acceptable driving record
Working Conditions:
- Schedule: May require working nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Environment: Work is performed outdoors and in all weather conditions.
- Safety Gear: Must wear appropriate safety gear and adhere to all safety protocols.
