SUMMARY:

The Director – Materials Management is responsible for the coordination of all planning and inventory control activities for the NA Supply Chain. The Director – Materials Management is responsible for the management and development of the planning inventory control team. The Director – Materials Management coordinates all activities regarding toll manufacturing (if required), blend back and repack of raw materials, finished goods, or intermediates.

This person must provide strong leadership to the team and proactively support daily functions and continuous improvement of department processes, equipment, personnel, and organization structure in support of business goals. Must be able to develop and maintain a positive culture and work environment within the department that is in line with Robertet’s vision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of planning and inventory control for the NA Supply Chain. Manages the planning department to optimize business results including On Time Shipping and Operating Working Capital (inventory).

Responsible for the development, training, and supervision of direct reports. Lead and develop the team to deliver unparalleled customer service.

Drives continuous improvement of the Supply Chain processes and the utilization of digital tools.

Manages the Inventory Control Department ensuring timely updates of key performance indicators and coordination of activities to drive actions on slow moving, obsolete inventory, and warehouse consolidation. Completes corrections to the current ERP system.

Participates in the S&OP Process as an active representative. Leads the S&OP Long Term Review meetings.

Responsible for the optimal usage of the Oracle MRP system including safety stock and reorder point levels and for establishing / running the process to ensure that the settings are reviewed to minimize inventory.

Responsible for ensuring up to date raw material attributes (order quantities, lead times, fixed day supply) in concert with the purchasing group.

Establishes standards for finished goods floor stock, forecasts, and demand planning, as required by customer contracts or directed and approved by sales management.

Coordinates all activities regarding the toll manufacturing at outside service providers (if required) of intermediates or finished goods.

Coordinates all activities regarding the lot allocations for customer orders based on the business groups requirements.

Display strong cross-functional teamwork with Customer Service, Production, Quality and Sales Support to obtain order status and changes.

Understand and execute all necessary requirements for ISO 9001

Remain accountable for all defined responsibilities as defined by ISO 9001 process flow.

Commitment to Robertet and SQF Quality Standards and continuous improvement of the quality management systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience.

Supply Chain / Manufacturing experience greater than 10 years

Strong supervisory skills, strong mathematical skills, and advanced proficiency in ERP, Production Systems, and MS365 including Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This is a manufacturing position, and the employee must be able to visit and work in manufacturing safely.

Physical Demands:

Demands of a typical office environment is the normal expectation.

The ability to work in a manufacturing area as needed is required (Walking, climbing stairs, the ability to stand for periods of time, the lifting of 25 lbs)
