Job Summary:
Pave America is a private equity backed, fast growing, and highly acquisitive facility services company. We have over 30 operating companies located in most of the major population centers in the U.S. The company has an annual revenue of ~$1 billion and has over 1,500 employees. Position Overview: The President will be responsible for the overall management, growth, and profitability of an individual paving company. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the construction or paving industry. The President will work closely with Pave America's President, COO, and other executive leaders to ensure alignment with the company's goals and objectives
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy: -
Develop and implement the division's strategic plan in alignment with the company's goals and objectives. - Provide strong leadership to division managers and staff, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Operational Management: -
Oversee day-to-day operations of the paving division, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. - Implement and monitor performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. - Drive operational excellence through process improvements, innovation, and best practices. Financial Oversight: -
Prepare and manage the division's annual budget, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded. - Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance profitability. - Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of financial performance to the Pave America executive team. Business Development: - Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the division's market presence and increase revenue. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. - Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote the division's capabilities and achievements. Compliance and Safety: -
Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. - Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all employees adhere to safety protocols and procedures. - Address and resolve any compliance or safety issues promptly and effectively. Team Development: -
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the division. - Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for managers and staff. - Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications (Experience, Education & Certifications, Key Attributes):
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction or paving industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and driving business growth. Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and P&Ls. Excellent leadership and team-building skills. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
