Job Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the executive team responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. The COO will collaborate closely with the CEO and other executives to design, implement, and optimize processes, systems, and policies that drive operational efficiency and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals. This role involves high-level decision-making, strategic planning, and the management of multiple business functions to enhance productivity and profitability.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement operational strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with the company’s vision.
Partner with the CEO and other executives to drive the organization’s strategic goals and initiatives.
Conduct performance reviews of various departments, assessing effectiveness and guiding improvement.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations of the company, including but not limited to sales, marketing, finance, HR, IT, and production.
Identify and implement opportunities for improvement across all departments to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
Develop and maintain effective policies, procedures, and systems to support business operations.
Financial Management:
Work closely with the CFO to develop annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure financial efficiency.
Analyze and interpret financial reports to inform operational and strategic decisions.
Set and manage KPIs to measure and evaluate company performance and adjust operations as needed.
People Management and Leadership:
Build and nurture a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and collaboration.
Recruit, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure alignment of resources to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards.
Identify, mitigate, and manage risks to protect the organization’s assets and brand.
Regularly assess risk exposure and create strategies to manage and mitigate operational risks.
Innovation and Change Management:
Champion change management initiatives, promoting innovation and embracing new technologies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and encourage a culture of innovation.
Lead projects focused on digital transformation, process automation, and other advancements.
Experience
Proven experience in a senior executive role, with at least 10+ years in operations, strategic planning, or relevant business functions.
A track record of successful business development efforts that have led to measurable growth.
Industry knowledge and prior experience in Med Spa, hormone replacement therapy, and multi-location clinics.
Strong financial and business acumen with demonstrated success in managing budgets and financial processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a talent for fostering a collaborative environment.
Strong background in project management, with demonstrated success in leading complex initiatives.
Expertise in change management practices, with the ability to navigate organizational transitions effectively.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management to support strategic decision-making.
