Vice President, Electrical Supply Chain

Position Summary:
This Vice President of Electrical Supply Chain will oversee our electrical division's end-to-end supply chain operations, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships. The VP of Electrical Supply Chain will ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and the highest level of service and quality, driving initiatives to optimize the supply chain performance and support company growth objectives. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and implement supply chain strategies tailored to the electrical segment that align with the overall company objectives and initiatives
Vendor & Supplier Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers Working relationships with all main suppliers Maintain strong relationships with key manufacturer reps or rep agencies Negotiate favorable contracts Perform annual audits of vendors to ensure alignment
Financial Oversight:
Negotiate and strategically manage annual rebates to drive the greatest bottom-line profitability Track top vendors and commodity categories to determine the impact on inventory costs and margins Oversee and direct all areas of financial impact on the supply chain, including payment terms, FFA terms, freight, etc.
Inventory & Logistics Management:
Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, and distribution strategies Ensure optimal stock levels while reducing excess inventory and deadstock Optimize the flow of inventory into various locations for consolidations or increased inventory to satisfy customer needs
Team Leadership:
Provide leadership, coach, and develop support staff Set clear goals and expectations while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability Motivate team to meet and exceed performance metrics, KPIs, and achievement of initiatives
Technology, Operational, and Process Improvement:
Develop Dashboard/KPIs to monitor vendor performance and inventory optimization Streamline processes for a smoother workflow for both the supply chain and sales side Develop processes that will help improve operations for the supply chain, warehouse, and sales teams to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Customer Focus:
Collaborate with the General Managers, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure optimal inventory levels to support the highest achievement of customer satisfaction
Risk Management:
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions and market volatility
Skills: Supplier and Relationship Management:
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiation skills to ensure favorable terms and secure the lowest total cost Analytical and Data-Driven Decision Making:
Proficient in using data analytics, KPIs, and metrics to make informed decisions. Knowledge of advanced data tools, such as predictive analytics and machine learning, to anticipate issues and optimize operations Process Improvement and Lean Methodology:
Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement best practices Financial Acumen:
Understanding of cost structures, budgeting, and financial analysis and the ability to analyze the economic impact of supply chain decisions and optimize cost without compromising service Cross-functional Collaboration:
Skilled in working closely with other departments, such as Sales, Operations, and Finance, to create an aligned approach Leadership and People Management:
Strong leadership skills to motivate, develop, and retain talented team members and skills in creating and cultivating a positive work environment Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, Distribution Management, or related fields 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within wholesale distribution Physical Working Requirements: Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed in an office setting. Visual and Auditory Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret documents, spreadsheets, and written communication clearly. Ability to hear and communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through written communication. Manual Dexterity:
Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate technology. Ability to handle paperwork and perform data entry efficiently. Travel:
Required travel within the Company's regions, industry events, vendor locations, or other events that may involve flying or driving. Extended Hours:
