Senior Scrum Master

Our client is a large organization that is building out its team to undergo a tech transformation. They pride themselves on fostering an environment where their employees’ voices are always heard, and they are constantly being challenged. They are looking for a Senior Scrum Master who will play a crucial role in guiding our client’s Agile teams through the delivery of complex, high-value projects. This is a hybrid position based in Fairfield County, CT.
Senior Scrum Master’s Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives, ensuring each meeting is purposeful and productive.
- Coach and mentor Agile teams, promoting self-management, high performance, and collaboration. Remove obstacles and resolve conflicts to help the team achieve their goals.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by helping teams identify and implement ways to improve processes, quality, and velocity.
- Act as a bridge between teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and project goals. Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies clearly and effectively.
Senior Scrum Master’s Qualifications and Skills
- At least 5 years as a Scrum Master, with at least 2 years in a senior-level role, managing complex, cross-functional projects.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Business, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe).
