Associate Scrum Master
Philadelphia, PA (4 days on-site)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Scrum Master to join our growing team. If you are passionate about Agile methodologies, teamwork, and coaching teams, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Supporting Scrum Teams:
- Facilitation of Scrum ceremonies (Sprint planning, Daily stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective)
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and development team to ensure a clear understanding of product backlog items.
- Help maintain and update team boards, burndown charts and other Scrum artifacts.
Team Collaboration:
- Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team culture.
- Demonstrate, encourage and facilitate open communication among team members.
- Assist in identifying and resolving conflicts/impediments that hinder team’s progress.
Continuous Improvement:
- Facilitate engaging retrospective meetings to identify areas of improvements.
- Contribute to the implementation of process improvements based o by acting as a team coach.
Metrics and Reporting:
- Assist in tracking and reporting key performance and flow metrics, such as velocity, throughput, cycle time and release burn-up.
- Generate and maintain project progress reports for stakeholders.
Training and Onboarding:
- Help onboard new team members to Agile principles and practices.
- Provide guidance and support to team members as they adapt to Agile methodologies.
Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their expectations and to help coach the product owner and scrum team on the optimal ways of working.
- Work with project managers and product owners to deliver meaningful information/reports to stakeholders.
- Communicate team health updates, challenges, and wins to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software. Jira experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Scrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent).
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Kanban, XP, etc.).
- Previous experience in a software development or IT environment.
