As a US-based warranty provider, we provide expertise in safety and homecare to our customers. Our integrated solutions meet customer needs both inside and outside the home. Inside the home, we safeguard essential systems like plumbing, heating and cooling, appliances, power surge protection, hot water heaters, and interior electrical components. Outside the home, we ensure the protection of vital lines, including water, gas, wells, sewers, electric, and septic systems. We primarily go to market B2B2C, partnering mostly with water/gas/electric utilities and municipalities to offer our product leveraging their brand for marketing and often adding our subscription fee to the water/gas/electric bill itself. Position Summary:

Join our team as Lead Technical Project Manager based in our headquarters in Naperville, IL. In this role, you'll lead the charge on our software and infrastructure projects from ideation to execution and go live in an Agile environment. Collaborating closely with our IT & business teams and third-party partners, you'll drive project planning, risk management, resource allocation, and budget oversight. Your expertise in prioritization, process improvement, and agile execution will be pivotal in navigating our fast-paced environment and delivering impactful solutions. As a key player of the EPMO organization, you'll engage with stakeholders across departments, championing project management best practices and ensuring alignment with company objectives. Your proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and with high customer impact will be essential as you tackle legacy products and help shape the roadmap for future innovations. You will lead multiple projects concurrently, making significant contributions ina dynamic environment to achieve our objectives and drive business outcomes through successful project delivery.

Our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required from Naperville, IL or Mt. Laurel, NJ.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Lead the end-to-end project management lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects.
  • Lead the technical Agile teams through all steps in the development cycles: architecture, specifications, design, development, testing, deployment and post deployment verification and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Drive supersonic speed, thinking of solutions outside the box, while constantly challenging the team for quick and nimble outcomes on several priorities simultaneously.
  • Achieves aggressive goals, thrives in ambiguous environments, and demonstrates adaptability and strategic acumen.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Conduct Sprint planning, daily stand ups, and provide reporting on the sprint delivery.
  • Conduct risk assessment and mitigation planning to ensure project success.
  • Manage project budgets and track expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and third-party vendor, and drive cross functional/stakeholder and leadership alignment.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing issues or deviations from the project plan.
  • Report progress, KPIs, and budget adherence to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Manage technology product/solution vendors and implementation partners to ensure timely and quality deliverables of work products.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Follow project management best practices and Agile methodologies as part of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
  • Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions including reducing the manual efforts through automation.

Experience and Qualifications of the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years’ experience in technical project management and Agile delivery with a minimum of 5 years in a Lead technical project management role.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master on a digital development team (preferred).
  • Direct experience in managing large customer facing web platforms projects in an e-commerce environment with bias to improve conversion rates.
  • Strong experience working with engineering teams on projects to deliver Integration technologies (SOA, iPaaS, REST), Cloud infrastructure (PaaS, SaaS, MS-Azure, AWS), Web technologies (like Spring, Hibernate, Angular, React, NodeJS), Microservices, Kubernetes, NoSQL DB like Mongo and, authentication methods like OAuth and SAML.
  • Experience managing technical projects that has delivered eCommerce platforms (ex. Adobe, Salesforce, Vtex), CMS solutions (ex. ContentStack, Magnolia, Contentful), personalization engines (ex. Optimizely, Nosto) and payment solutions (ex. Stripe, Worldpay, Adyen).
  • Proven experience with DevOps, Code quality, CI/CD, and running in an Agile environment.
  • Experience leading and delivering large digital platforms and websites including customer enrolling and payment functionalities, SaaS platforms (Salesforce) and ERP (Oracle) initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Deep experience in project management tools and software, such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Smartsheet, etc.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external vendors and stakeholders.
  • Expertise in estimating projects, budget management and resource management and capacity planning.
  • PMP, ScrumMaster, or other project management certifications are a strong plus.
  • Experience managing supplier and 3rd party relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders; ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to senior and executive leadership.

Preferred Certifications in application life cycle management (e.g., PMP, Agile Scrum/Product Owner, SAFe, DevOps)

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
Proficiency in Microsoft 365
